Design for a Short Hills Family

This custom Short Hills, NJ home was designed for a family moving from NYC with another baby on the way. Special care was taken by Rachelle Franklin at BHR Decor in Summit, NJ to ensure that each family member, no matter what the size, would have exactly what they needed.

The daughters bath is made whimsical with Riverstone minibrick mosaics running throughout the floor and walls.
The boys share a Jack & Jill bathroom livened up with cobalt blue glass in the shower, bathroom walls and in a pinwheel pattern on the floor.

The Dolomya Bianco Carrara 3x6 tiles used in the backsplash contrast beautifully with the glass mosaics exhibited behind the stove and also in the minibar space.

Mendham Elegance in Stone Pt. 2

This custom dogbone pattern was created for the basement entry in Dark Emperador marble and Burnt Sienna and quartzite slates.

The basement floor transitions to tumbled travertine Noce bricks leading into the beautifully warm wine cellar.

Crema Vault porcelain tiles from Ann Sacks give a durable but still beautiful floor for the much used mudroom bath.

Mendham Elegance in Stone Pt. 1

The Grand Family Room floor was laid out with a center diagonal grid and border in Bluestone porcelain with grey green stone mosaics running through every four pieces to pull colors from the natural travertine used in the fireplace as well as the exterior of the home.

Autumn slate was cut to 8" x 24" to create a herringbone pattern in the mudroom.  Beautifully built custom cabinetry and moldings by C.Mannion Construction in Peapack, NJ.

Polished Bardiglio marble in 1" hex and as well as mini brick mosaics brings elegance to this guest bathroom.

Romantic Spa Getaway

Cloudy White Carrera marble with Blue Celeste and White Thassos stone decos create a romantic backdrop for this Morristown Master Bath.

The Blue Celeste and Thassos basketweave rug repeats the soft blue marble which is also carried through to the adjoining shower space.

The frameless doors create the opportunity to boast a timeless and elegant shower design.  A Blue Celeste and White Thassos Billow border by Allstone separates the Blue Celeste mini brick mosaics running the height of the room.

Lemon & Lime Glass Sticks give this Livingston bathroom a new contemporary design

This small bathroom in Livingston took on a touch of contemporary design using green glass sticks and 6x12 crystallized glass tiles (simulating the look of the Greek marble Thassos) to create a stunning all glass bathroom.  The combination of satin and glossy finishes create a textural interest and the vertically set glass give a bamboo-like effect, adding to the bathroom's serenity.

After seeing the crystallized glass installed in their bathroom, the clients decided to put it in their laundry room due to its no fuss, no maintence, & clean appearance.

Livingston Renovation

When a fire took down this home in Livingston, what was lost couldn't be forgotten.  New stone gives honor to what is gone and beauty to a new start.

The new chiseled Jerusalem stone fireplace, a reproduction of the original design that couldn't be saved, creates a magnificent focal point in the family room.

Allstone's brushed and cobbled Andean Linen Travertine creates a soft pallet for a hardworking family kitchen.

Dramatic Wine Cellar

For this dramatic wine cellar in NJ, we were called on by Joseph and Curtis to create a uniquely patterned floor with mosaics that would really make a statement. Cobbled Amazon Gold stone was used in several sizes as a background for the warm tumbled custom mosaics to be placed on either side of the bar.  To read more about the creation of this wine cellar, go to Dramatic Wine Cellar in New Jersey.

Glass and ceramics make a child's bath fun!

Glass tiles and ceramic tiles set in a pinwheel pattern make for a cheerful child's bathroom - and it's practical too.  This material is easy to care for and will transition well from youth to adulthood.
